UAE - UK Collaboration in Decarbonisation of The Built Environment

Following the publishing of our White Paper in July 2024, the UAE-UK Business Council reviewed the recommendations made in the Paper during a panel session at the Big 5 Global Leaders Summit on 26th November 2024 in Dubai.

The panel explored the transformative potential of regenerative construction, the development of a circular built environment, the global construction sector’s progress in meeting sustainability targets from COP28 to COP29 and identifying opportunities for the region to leverage significant investments and ongoing mega projects to accelerate sustainability efforts.

The UAE-UK Business Council will continue to track the recommendations made in the Paper alongside developments with policy, industry, and legislation.
